Visiting Sodore

Sodore  is resort   126 kms. South of Addis Ababa. The majority of the populations living in these areas make their living from agriculture. The main grain that is grown in this area is “teff” from which the staple food “injera” is made. After Nazareth, Sodore is only 15 minutes drive and swimming in the Olympic size pool filled with warm mineral water is very tempting before lunch.
The majestic Awash River passes near by the swimming pool and Hippos and Crocodiles can be observed from time to time. The huge revering trees offer shade and shelter to entertaining Monkeys and Birds of varied species. After lunch visiting the garden of the hotel is worthwhile. Late afternoon, drive back to Addis Ababa to arrive before dark.
